BONUS IS COMING!!!

The rest of the world is busy counting days before they get their bonuses. Some might already receive it and already busy making a list of how to spend it.  How about you? Should you be expecting anything too?
We are here to help you understand what to expect to help you manage your expenses in the next coming days.
First, you must know that there is no standard policy on holiday bonuses in the United States. It’s always about discretionary bonuses from your company. So, yeah! You must appreciate your employer more if you’re getting one.
Having said that, if you are an employee you must already know what to expect about holiday bonuses. There are a few things you wanted to keep in mind.

FAIRNESS!
Yes, so since there’s no standard policy it’s your company’s discretion on how to compute your bonus. I’m sure they will be fair in terms of this. Some employers give bonuses as a flat amount to the everyone while they can also measure it based on your performance and tenure ship.

PROFESSIONALISM!
Well, when we hear a bonus we always think of monetary gifts. But bonuses can also come in different forms. May it be a Christmas basket or gift accept it. Please be mindful not to give inappropriate gifts like cigar or liquor. Most of the time giving bonuses is a way of showing appreciation and can be given any time of the year. If you’re an employer check out these catalogs and surely, you’ll find a great gift for your employees. Or personally, you can also shop here for yourself and for your loved ones. https://hilaireproductions.com/collections

BE TRANSPARENT!
We know that most companies offer big bonuses at the end of the year for 2 things. To help the company reach its goal at the end of the year and to also keep employees motivated all throughout the year. But is this performance bonus works as their holiday bonus too? These bonuses are 2 different things. So, if you are an employer make sure to clarify this and better yet send the bonuses separately. As an employee, it’s your right to clarify this to your boss.

Either way, there are so many ways our employers can reward us aside from monetary bonuses. Here are some ideas:
  • Extra paid leaves
  • Company gift cards
  • Gift cards or discount cards
  • Gift baskets
  • Gift certificates
There’s more but I hope we were able to help you understand further on how to budget yourself for this season.
