Pandemic to fight together as nation
It’s not a secret that we are facing a pandemic crisis all over the world. So, we are here to help everyone understand what it, is where it started, and how it is being transmitted.
Let’s start with what is COVID-19 or coronavirus disease. This is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. This pandemic disease started last December 2019 in Wuhan, China. Did you know that the officials back then called it as SARS-CoV-2 due to its genetic similarity to SARS.
COVID-19 spreads primarily through saliva. Yes, droplets or discharge from the nose when the infected person sneezes and coughs. That is why it’s important to practice the respiratory etiquette by simply coughing into a flexed elbow. Yes, that’s the proper way to do it.
Maybe some of you are still asking how we can prevent its transmission, it’s very simple. Wash your hands regularly and properly. Use 70% alcohol and rub it properly and avoid touching your face.
These are 2 very simple steps to stay safe from this pandemic disease.
